The longtime “Saturday Night Live” cast member was 57.
Hooks died early Thursday.
Her cause of death has not been revealed, although TMZreports that she’d been battling a “serious illness.”
Hooks starred on “SNL” from 1986 to 1991, working alongside Phil Hartman and Dana Carvey as the show began one of its glory periods. She subsequently had a starring role on “Designing Women” and made appearances on shows like “Primetime Glick” and “3rd Rock From The Sun.” Hooks also appeared in movies like Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure and Coneheads.
On a personal note, Gossip Cop knew Hooks, and traveled with her on a trip throughout Brazil many years ago.
We will never forget the fun times we had together, and will always cherish those memories.
